Sailing trip to Menorca
Trips
We meet at Port Olimpic in Barcelona at 11:00 AM. Introductions are made. The skipper assigned to your trip will explain all the details and we'll organize the joint shopping that will be delivered to the vessel itself, in addition to food and drinks. We'll distribute the cabins and set sail towards Menorca. The great blue and our beloved Mediterranean Sea await us! We'll enjoy the sunset while sailing, the immensity of the stars and, with luck, some dolphins will come to greet us.
After the crossing, we'll rest in "Cala Pregonda" - you'll love it. We'll spend the day there and at sunset head towards "Fornells." If conditions are favorable, we'll go down to the town to enjoy a good caldereta (seafood stew) and delight in a local wine that reminds us we're on vacation.
In the morning, after a well-deserved rest, being aware that we're already on the island, we'll visit "Es Pilar" cove, located within a fishing reserve where snorkeling is a gift from Poseidon, god of the sea. Those who prefer can go down to the beach, either swimming or accompanied by the skipper in the dinghy. After lunch and siesta for others, we'll raise the sails again and anchor to sleep in "Cala Algaiarens."
The next day we'll head to Ciutadella, a port city famous for its old town and medieval streets, also full of stories that will whisper to you as you walk through them. We'll spend part of the day and night there. But not before discovering a very special corner: "Cala Mort," which, as its name indicates, "dead cove," doesn't stand out for its vegetation or fauna, but for its rocks: hundreds of stacked stones without anyone knowing who placed the first of so many.
We'll leave the north definitively and head south to discover "Cala Escorxada," and a very unique place to sleep: "Cala Ses Coves," with great prehistoric value thanks to the large number of artificial caves and also declared an artistic historical monument by decree of June 3, 1931.
Last day on the island and we can't leave without visiting the most famous beaches, for many the most beautiful: "Macarella" and "Turqueta," from where at nightfall we'll head towards Barcelona contemplating the sunset off our port bow, and the orange colors that the sky will gift us to leave a wonderful week engraved in our eyes.
Back to Barcelona during the crossing, we'll once again enjoy the immensity of the blue, the beautiful sunrise sun for early risers, swimming in the open sea and with luck some visits from dolphins and perhaps a turtle. We'll arrive at Port Olimpic (Barcelona) in the early afternoon to finish a week you'll never forget, disembarking from the sailboat and already thinking about the next departure to enjoy again.
